Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using HumanRank, creating a profile, saving scores, and appearing on leaderboards.

1. Who we are

HumanRank provides short human performance games, tests, profiles, and competitive leaderboards through its website and mobile app. For questions about these terms or the service, contact us at support@humanrank.app.

2. Using HumanRank

You may use HumanRank for personal, non-commercial play, practice, comparison, and leaderboard participation.
HumanRank games and tests are informational and recreational. They are not medical, diagnostic, psychological, hiring, or professional assessment tools.
Hearing and color blindness tests can help you notice potential issues, but they do not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
You must follow applicable laws and must not interfere with the service, its infrastructure, or other users.

3. Accounts and profiles

You can sign in on the website or mobile app with email and password, Google, or Discord when authentication is available.
A HumanRank profile may include your player name, date of birth, country, and sex category. The app currently asks you to review these details before saving because they affect rankings and filters.
The profile flow treats saved profile details as locked. Contact support if you need a correction required by law or account deletion.
Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account unless the activity was caused by our failure to protect the service.
Do not impersonate someone else, reserve misleading player names, or create accounts to manipulate leaderboards.
If local law requires parental permission for your use of online services, you must have that permission before using HumanRank.

4. Scores and leaderboards

If you are logged in with a complete profile, eligible game results from the website or mobile app can be saved automatically as leaderboard scores. Scores recorded temporarily offline may be synchronized after you sign in or reconnect.
Leaderboards may display your player name, country, age calculated from your date of birth, sex category, platform, score details, rank, and record date.
We may reject, hide, recalculate, or remove scores that appear fraudulent, automated, abusive, technically invalid, or inconsistent with the rules of a challenge.
Rankings can change at any time as users play, scores are corrected, filters change, or features are updated.

5. Fair play and prohibited conduct

Do not use bots, scripts, automation, modified clients, request replay, browser tampering, or other methods intended to create artificial scores.
Do not attack, scrape at abusive volume, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass security controls on HumanRank or its service providers.
Do not submit offensive, unlawful, harassing, or infringing names, messages, requests, or other content.
Do not use HumanRank to distribute malware, collect other users' data, or violate third-party rights.

6. Third-party services

HumanRank uses third-party services for features such as authentication, database storage, OAuth sign-in, email contact flows, embedded game request forms, website analytics, advertising, customer entitlement management, optional support payments, and payment processing. Those services may apply their own terms and privacy policies when you interact with them.

7. Advertising

HumanRank may display third-party advertising through Adsterra on the website and Google AdMob in the mobile app. Advertising should not be interpreted as HumanRank's endorsement of an advertised product, service, app, or website. Ad availability, formats, and placements may change over time. Where required, the mobile app asks for advertising privacy choices before requesting ads and lets you reopen those choices from Settings.

8. Paid features and support payments

HumanRank may offer paid features, subscriptions, or other digital products through web checkout, an app store's billing system, or other supported billing platforms.
RevenueCat may be used to manage customer status, purchases, subscriptions, and premium entitlements. Stripe may be used to process web payments where available.
Prices, billing periods, renewal terms, cancellation options, taxes, and refund rules will be shown in the relevant checkout, paywall, or provider flow before purchase.
Access to paid features may end if a payment fails, a subscription expires, a refund is issued, or the entitlement is otherwise revoked by the billing provider or by HumanRank under these terms.
Ko-fi links are optional support links. Unless a checkout page clearly says otherwise, a Ko-fi payment supports the project and does not buy leaderboard placement, special scores, or guaranteed access to future features.

9. Ownership

HumanRank, its interface, code, design, branding, challenge presentation, text, and media are owned by HumanRank or its licensors.
You keep any rights you have in content you submit, but you allow HumanRank to use your profile name, country, score data, and related ranking information to operate, display, moderate, and improve the service.
You may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit HumanRank except where permitted by law or by written permission.

10. Account deletion and suspension

You can permanently delete your account and saved scores through the profile screen in the mobile app or through the profile page on the website when logged in.
We may suspend or delete accounts, scores, or access when necessary to protect users, protect the service, comply with law, or enforce these terms.
Local app or browser data, such as theme, sound and haptic settings, game settings, recent local attempts, and unsynced scores, may remain on your device until you clear the app or site data or uninstall the app.

11. Availability and changes

HumanRank is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, pause, or remove games, tests, rankings, account features, and app pages. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HumanRank is not liable for indirect losses, lost data, lost rankings, lost profits, service interruptions, third-party service issues, or decisions you make based on recreational scores or informational tests. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service changes or when legal, security, or operational requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Continued use of HumanRank after an update means you accept the updated terms.
