The average aim trainer score is about 470 ms per target. That is the median of the 65,052 results Human Benchmark grades its aim trainer against, and the most common result is 400 to 449 ms, where one player in five lands. The HumanRank aim trainer scores you the same way: your average time to hit each of 30 targets.
So if you finish under 450 ms, you are faster than most people. Under 400 ms, you beat more than three players in four.
Average under 400 ms per target and you beat 77% of players.

Percentiles from the 65,052 results Human Benchmark grades aim trainer scores against, read on October 21, 2026. Lower is better. HumanRank's targets are smaller (see below), so the same hand usually posts a slightly slower time here.
In 1954, psychologist Paul Fitts showed in the Journal of Experimental Psychology that the time to point at something depends on how far away it is and how big it is. Pointing time grows with the logarithm of distance over width, so doubling the distance or halving the target adds the same fixed delay. Known as Fitts's law, it is still the standard model of pointing in human-computer interaction.
Every target time stacks two costs: spotting where the new target appeared, then moving to it. A simple reaction time already takes 200 to 300 ms in a browser, so close to half of a 470 ms target goes to noticing it. The rest is Fitts's law.
Smaller targets mean a longer aim, and misses are not free, so expect a HumanRank time to run a little slower than the same run on Human Benchmark.
Then see where your run ranks on the aim trainer leaderboard. To train the reaction half on its own, try the reaction time test or the F1 test.
About 470 ms per target, the median of 65,052 Human Benchmark results read on October 21, 2026. The most common result is 400 to 449 ms, where about 20% of players land.
Under 450 ms per target beats most players, 400 ms beats 77%, 350 ms puts you in the top 6%, and 300 ms in the top 1%.
It is close to average but on the slow side: 500 ms per target is faster than about 38% of players. Getting under 470 ms puts you in the faster half.
HumanRank targets are 64 to 96 px wide instead of Human Benchmark's 100 px, and each missed click adds 10 ms to your average. Under Fitts's law, smaller targets take longer to hit.
